AgXeed and Nobleo

In 2020, we shared how AgXeed and Nobleo began developing fully autonomous agricultural machines. Six years on, that concept has become commercial reality.

This new article looks back on the journey, from designing the first purpose-built prototype to deploying over 100 autonomous robots worldwide.

It explores how combining deep agricultural expertise with cross-industry robotics experience changed the way autonomy is built and applied. And how it’s transforming the way farming itself operates.

As Lars Schmitz, AgXeed’s CTO, puts it: “With autonomous machines, you can build lightweight equipment that works up to 20 hours a day. Far beyond what’s possible with traditional manned operation.”
