Electrical Hardware Engineer (EPLAN) | Nobleo Explorers

As an Electrical Hardware Engineer at Nobleo Explorers, responsibility centres on the design and realisation of high-end electrical systems for semiconductor equipment. System and functional requirements are translated into detailed electrical schematics in EPLAN, covering control cabinets, power distribution, safety circuits and I/O architectures for complex machines. Work takes place at system level in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, where electrical design integrates seamlessly with mechanics, software and motion systems.

What can you expect?

Working as an on-site consultant means contributing to high-tech semiconductor projects for leading OEMs. The role involves end-to-end ownership of electrical designs within complex systems, from initial concept through to integration and validation. Work takes place in a strong system engineering environment in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, focused on delivering robust and future-proof solutions.

Projects are carried out alongside internationally diverse colleagues in an open engineering culture where technical depth and knowledge sharing are central. Stability is ensured through long-term assignments in a demanding high-tech domain, providing continuity and focus. Trust and flexibility form the basis for a healthy work–life balance.

In this environment, advanced technology is developed at the highest level, with direct impact on complex systems within the semiconductor industry.

Your responsibilities

As an Electrical Hardware Engineer you’ll

  • Design high-end electrical systems for semiconductor equipment
    • Translate system and functional requirements into detailed electrical schematics using EPLAN. You design control cabinets, power distribution, safety circuits, and I/O architectures for complex, high-precision semiconductor machines.
  • Own the electrical design lifecycle
    • From system architecture and concept design through detailed engineering, reviews, and release for manufacturing. You ensure designs are complete, consistent, and production-ready, supporting panel build, wiring, integration, and commissioning.
  • Engineer for quality, safety, and compliance
    • You design in accordance with strict standards and customer requirements typical for semiconductor equipment. Functional safety, EMC, documentation quality, and traceability are integral parts of your work.
  • Work at system and machine level
    • You understand how electrical designs interact with mechanics, software, motion systems, and sensors. Your work fits seamlessly into complex mechatronic systems with demanding reliability and uptime requirements.
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary environments
    • You work closely with system architects, software engineers, mechanical engineers, and external partners. You act as the electrical authority within project teams and support technical discussions with customers and suppliers.

What do we expect from you?

To be successful in this position you have:

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or high-tech electrical engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with EPLAN (Electric P8)
  • Fluent in English for technical communication
  • Relevant semiconductor / high-tech expertise
    • Electrical design of complex machines or production equipment
    • Control cabinets, power distribution, safety systems, and field I/O
    • Knowledge of IEC / EN standards and customer-specific guidelines
    • Experience with structured documentation, reviews, and change control
    • Affinity with high-precision, low-defect, high-reliability environments
  • Engineering mindset
    • You work structured and detail-oriented
    • You design for manufacturability, serviceability, and long-term operation
    • You understand interfaces and system dependencies
    • You take ownership and responsibility for your designs

Why choose Nobleo?

At Nobleo, you work on complex, high-tech systems for leading semiconductor equipment manufacturers. Projects demand depth, precision, and strong engineering judgment — exactly what experienced electrical engineers thrive on.
